3. Information We Collect from Astrologers

To ensure the credibility of our platform, we collect from our Experts:

• Professional Identity: Educational certificates, years of experience, and specialization details.

• Identity Verification (KYC): Government-issued ID (Aadhaar/PAN) to ensure platform safety and legal compliance.

• Financial Details: Bank account or UPI information for processing monthly payouts.

• Public Profile: Bio, profile picture, and languages, which are visible to users.

4. Audio and Video Consultation Privacy

• End-to-End Encryption (E2EE): All live consultations are transmitted via secure, encrypted channels.

• Strict Non-Recording Policy: We DO NOT record, listen to, or store the audio/video content of your private sessions. These conversations are strictly private between the user and the astrologer.

• Metadata Only: We only log call duration and timestamps for billing accuracy and technical troubleshooting.

5. Data Security and Sharing (The "Zero-Disclosure" Guarantee)

• No-Sale Policy: We STRICTLY DO NOT sell, rent, or trade any personal data (User or Astrologer) to third-party marketing companies or data brokers.

• Need-to-Know Sharing:

  • Users to Astrologers: Only necessary birth details are shared with your chosen expert during an active session.

  • Internal Security: Astrologer ID proofs are kept in highly secured, encrypted servers and are never shared publicly.

• Trusted Partners: We only share data with essential service providers (e.g., Cloud Hosting, Payment Gateways, and Communication APIs) under strict confidentiality agreements.

6. Media and Image Protection

• Encrypted Storage: Any images (like palm photos) uploaded for consultation are encrypted during transit and stored in restricted access folders.

• Ephemeral Use: These files are used solely for the purpose of the requested consultation and are purged or archived securely after the service is completed.

7. Astrologer Code of Conduct

All astrologers on Jotish Bani are legally bound to:

• Not ask users for personal contact details (phone/email) to conduct business outside the app.

8. User Permissions (Device Access)

The app will request access to:

• Camera & Microphone: Only to facilitate live video and audio consultations.

• Storage: To allow uploading of birth charts or photos for expert analysis.

• Location: To automatically fetch coordinates for accurate chart generation (optional).

9. Data Retention and Deletion

• Right to be Forgotten: Both Users and Astrologers can request account deletion at any time through the app settings or via email.

• Permanent Erasure: Upon account deletion, all personal identifiers and birth data will be permanently wiped from our active servers.
